Reconnect with Ourselves Header Image

If we are honest with ourselves, we are not the people we should be. We seem to easily go off track, and our attitudes and behaviours are sometimes far from wholesome and helpful. We fall short of our own hopes and ideals. It seems our human nature is deeply flawed.

How can we become better, wiser and more integrated people?

How can we become truly human and reach our full potential?

Perhaps the pursuit of an authentic spirituality is the key in this quest.

There are tried and tested spiritual habits and practices that have been proven to work through the centuries. These ancient practices are surprisingly relevant and needed in our post–modern era. They have the ability to focus and liberate our minds and souls and transform our lives to another level. Many have discovered greater peace, hope, joy, clarity, wisdom and heightened awareness through the spiritual practices.

These practices include the following:-

  • Being thankful for the little things (and sometimes big things) in life.
  • Developing a sense of awe and wonder in the beauty and mystery that surrounds us every day.
  • Reading uplifting and inspirational books and material.
  • Being honest before God in prayer.
  • Giving generously to those in need (both in money and time).
  • Meeting with like-minded people for mutual support and accountability.
  • Taking time out in a quiet place to listen to, and observe the rhythms of nature and your own feelings and thoughts.
